This week I bought a 2014 RDX AWD without the technology package and have been using break-in suggestions from the forum. Oddly, at the dealership, service techs said to just drive it and don't worry about this stuff. They emphasized regular maintenance. The trip home was 100 miles. I stopped a couple times, varied speed, and didn't drive over 60mph, and avoided panic stops. I've been driving since 1963 and have the old break-in ways ingrained.

Well, congratulations on the new ride. Have fun and dont sweat the breakin stuff. I think you are being over cautious.

Drive normally and avoid gunning the engine hard and harsh braking. These are not considered part of normal driving anyway. Have fun!
