The Nav "Beep"

Any way to shut off the "beep" on the nav main button ('13 RDX with Tech pkg)?

In your settings and options you can shut off the audible beep

Just went thru every option on the nav panels (again) and nothing for the "beep" . Volume is set to zero, so no soap there as well. The beep continues. Anybody else have any thoughts?

I absolutely hate the fact that the nav beeps whenever I enter an unverified area - even if I'm not using it! Stupid.

I live in a rural area and surely do not need some stupid inanimate object telling me I am entering an unverified area, where I live is an unverified area! I don't care. Leave me the hell alone. It drives me crazy. I know I can shut it off, but when I am not using the Nav and only listening to music, I don't need the excess interference from navigation. Then there is the issue of trying to make a blue tooth call when the nav system is off. In my '06 TL I didn't need the nav system on, so why would we regress to this new system which is way to safety conscious. This is not a hands free system. I push more stupid buttons to make a call that is suppose to be voice activated or hands free. Simplicity should be the name of the game and this system is not simplicity. I would take my '06 nav system any day over this one.

I have also been looking to either turn off the beep or at least turn the volume of the beep down. None of the volume controls in settings have any effect.
