Curb Rash '14 RDX can I use the same guide?

Hi everyone,

So like a idiot I managed to grind my passenger front tire against the curb slightly leading to slight curb rash at the very edges of the rim. My question is am I able to use the same DIY fix as referenced at this thread(hyperlink).

I am reading a material used to "fill" the damaged area called bondo can come off if the tire is scraped again and there is yet another material which can actually permanently "fill" . There is another product which is permanent I have it saved it somewhere at the moment but dont remember the name.

Picture of tire:

Thanks

That doesn't look too bad at all should be able to polish it up then spray with the proper wheel paint if you are not comfortable doing it take it to a good body shop it should look like new when done. The shop should be able to give you a price before any work is done.

Sand with a little fine emory cloth, and then touch up with this color paint. I have used this color on Audi, Mercedes, Lexus wheels to touch up "curb-rash". It's a Honda paint color "Heather Mist".

Is there any specific grit value I need to buy or to be careful to get or I use the entire bundle and work from one grit to the next?

From the picture of your "rash" I'd use 200 grit and then 400 grit. Your damage does not look that deep. Don't forget, the paint will fill in some of the scrape.
