The left side rear seat will not release and fold down. Both latch handles are free but do not unjam the latch. Is there a way to use a screw driver or ? to release the latch assembly from the trunk side with the seat up? Thx

 

Did you try using the latch on the seat itself on the top corner?

 

thx for the reply. I have tried both the latch handle you mention and the one on the rear side of the car. Neither is frozen but still will not unlatch the seat back lock. I can see the mechanism but have so far not been able to get it released. Once I can fold the seat back forward I then can address the mechanism and what might be broken.
