2016 RDX Electrical
On a road trip today, my 2016 RDX's electrical system shut down.. no navigation screen, no audio screen.. daytime running lights off. At least the engine didn't turn off, as I was traveling 65 mph. The system went back on after a couple of minutes, but now I have no daytime running lights.. my car has 11,000 mi.

That’s a little scary to hear. I’ve got 2016 RDX as well approaching 8,000 miles. I’ve noticed the electronics are slow to “boot up” if you will when first starting the car. Many times the audio screen just doesn’t show the stations, icons, etc. immediately. Usually have to give it 5-10 seconds or more before everything looks normal.

My 2016 RDX Tech has approximately 8400 miles and it also takes 10 - 15 seconds for everything to boot up, so I guess this is quite normal. What with all the electronics on the vehicles these days I find that pretty reasonable. I start the vehicle as soon as I get. By the time I fasten my seat belt and open the garage door, she's ready to roll!

Slow boot time is only an issue for me if the backup camera doesnt show up within 1-2 seconds of starting the car. Maybe soon we will see the day where you cannot shift out of park for several seconds due to the flux capacitors etc etc booting up.
