2016 Acura RDX usb port not working

I used to be able to charge my IPhone with the usb port but it wont charge anymore. I am wondering what the prob is but I thought of checking the fuse box first. Does anyone know which fuse it is or what my prob is?

The cable was good since it was later plugged into a portable battery. Good try though

I'm almost certain its fuse is gone. I forgot which one but you can look at the fuse diagram and find out.

Looking at the power distribution diagrams provided by Dave for my 2017 RDX, Fuse 19 and Fuse 27 are used to provide power to the front accessory socket. If either is blown, power will not be available at the front accessory socket.

However, I don't know if the USB plug's 5 Volts DC is derived from the 12V DC at the front accessory socket using a built-in 12V-to-5V converter, or if the Radio/Nav unit itself generates the 5V for the USB plug (being it is the device that is atually using the USB plug for data exchanges with the phone, it may also make the 5 Volts).

With the key ON, if the Front Accessory socket is still getting power, and the Radio still works, then you have something going on other than just a fuse.

You might try blowing into the usb port in case there is fuzz in there. Are you able to use the port to listen to music or podcasts from your device?
Also, failing cables can fail intermittently. Try a different cable and maybe try charging an old device as experiments. I do think the usb will get its power from the head unit, not the accessory power.
Knowing how bad Apple is at vetting their updates these days, I wouldn't rule out a software update screwing it up. But that seems to be effecting bluetooth connections mostly.

Good point actually. Some of my USB cables have had disconnect internally. So this is a good test to see whether it works with another known-good cable.

Agree. So the OP can do this and let us know if that's the case.
