2013 RDX Won't Turn Start, Dash Lights Flicker, Other Weird Issues
I just returned from a 3 week trip. 2013 Acura RDX was in an attached garage the entire time. When I went to start the vehicle, I noticed the break wouldn't press in hardly at all, and nothing happened when I pressed the start button with the break pressed (RDX didn't even try to start, no engine noises, no clicking). When I just pressed the start button as if to turn on Accessory Mode, the dash lights flicker incessantly. If I then pressed the start button again, it would stop flickering, but occasionally the logo with a key and an exclamation point on it will light up. I thought the FOB battery might've died, so I replaced the battery to no avail. I also used my second FOB to no avail. Headlights and interior lights all turn on, and I can lock the vehicle. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks.

Weak car battery. Unhitch and charge it

Tried to jump but failed. Absolutely no power to vehicle now, which confirms the battery issue. My other issue is that it won't allow me to shift the vehicle into neutral. Is this a shift lock issue? If so, why would the shift lock?

The shift lever has an electric solenoid that prevents shifting out of "Park" if your foot is not on the brake. There is a small panel to the right of the shift lever that can be pried out, and the interlock can be defeated by pressing down on a lever. This should be outlined in the owner's manual. I have a 2013 RDX and the dealer replaced my battery under warranty without even asking him to. They must have a "silent" warranty program on 12 volt battery issues.

Very odd that jumping it didnt work, which makes me suspect your positive battery terminal is making a poor or non-connection. (Unless of course the vehicle that was used to jump it was not running at the time of the jump start)

yeah have Acura come and tow it over to the dealer and let them fix it. It is possible to not be able to jump a car if something happened to the battery and it is totally drained.
