Hi folks,
I think I have 2 issues here!
1. Voltage drop over time, battery dead after 2 weeks just from standing there.
2. Charging with low voltage (12.4 V idle)

Done so far:
Replaced bad battery (3rd one)
Unplugged HFT Unit
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to do more test's!

Just wondering why the vehicle charging is so different?
Everything is turned off, no HVAC no seat heater.
Start engine 13.9V after about 20 sec drop to 12.4 V

What is the voltage under load?

 

What load? HVAC?

 

low and high beams, rear window defroster, max blower speed and seats heat on.

 

idle only: 12.4 V

AC Max blower:13.75 V

and

All together full load: 14.23 V

 

If after 10 minutes the voltage under load does not change, then everything is fine.
