2013 ACURA RDX Check TPMS system after replacing the battery
Over the last 10 years my 2013 RDX AWD based model gave a TPMS warning once or twice and I have addressed it where the air in one or more tire was low due to sudden winter cold. This time after replacing the battery, I am getting, not a TPMS warning but a full screen 'Check TPMS System" banner. I have tried driving over 50 miles over 15 minutes and shut down and restarted the engine yet the message remains there. Blinking for about 15-20 seconds then just sitting there. All 4 tires reporting "--" as air pressure. When I google it almost all articles referring to a TPMS reset button/switch under the steering wheel column, inside the glove compartment, etc. but there is no such button and no such reference in the owner's manual. Consdering my car is 10 years old and the life expectancy of TPMS batteries are up to 10 years, is it what's causing this issue. Anyone has any insight for it. Thanks.
Tips will not help you, you need to connect a scanner, it wrote you a code and which sensor does not respond, check the signal with programmer, if it is weak or missing, change the sensor and the problem is solved, easier than ever.
