Sad day...

After a little over 3 years. I had to say adios to my 2013 RDX. Saved my life from a distracted driver breaking a red light at full speed. Died at 90K KMs (56K Miles)

Almost looks like a mob hit attempt when you see point of impact.

Acura Forever....

Mob hits involve bullet holes. Usually. Glad to hear you're okay, man.

Sorry about the car, but it looks like it did its job. Glad you're alright, good luck with whatever comes next.

The police officers and paramedics were shocked I walked away from the accident stating the point of impact is the deadliest for motor vehicle collisions.

Separated left shoulder and banged up knees, otherwise I'm good; Definitely a safe ride.....

Not sure what i'll do next. All depends on how things work out with the insurance company.

Sorry about the accident and it is good to hear the RDX did its job keeping you safe. The other driver was most likely doing something with a phone to become distracted at a intersection. Hopefully the shoulder and knee won't be a life long injury.

Thanks all. It's all officially done and settled..

My shitty luck, I have to move onto a corporate vehicle now cuz my original agreement for a car allowance was on this car, which is now gone. I'm so excited to get me a Ford Escape...

Oh well, going to wait a few years and replace the wife's car 05 TSX with a newer MDX. Going to need a 6 seater anyway.

the ecoboost in the Escape sucks. I had one as a rental car a few years ago and was thinking to myself "this thing is turbo'd??"

Glad to see your hip wasn't broken in that crash though. Looks like a nasty hit!

Since 2013? I'll be honest, I don't follow Ford Escape news much

and he never said he's getting a brand new one either...

Just looked at the specs..

In 2013, there was 2 ecoboost Escapes.

the 1.6L which has roughly 180hp and torque (the one I drove), and,
the 2.0L which had roughly 230hp and 270 torque.

In 2016, it only comes in the 1.6L, with the same power rating as before.

So again, here you go talking like you know...

It will be new, but pretty basic. From what I saw on the specs, it's the 1.6L SE FWD. I have a loner Chevy Trax and my god is that thing ever gutless and annoying.

I miss my RDX.

The biggest problem with getting a Ford is that you wind up with a Ford.
