Window Visors?

Hey everyone,

I was looking around at a couple places but haven't been able to locate anyone who makes widow visors for the 13+ RDX. Does anyone have a pair or know where I can find them? If you do have them, please post pictures.

Thanks!

Someone recently mentioned WELLvisors, though I have not tried them, so I can't say anything about how well they work.

This is weird. I just now went to their web site and it says they don't have visors for my car (2103 RDX). Yet I have a screen grab from 2 months ago (in case I later decided to buy some) and they supposedly carried them at that time. I don't know if they never really carried them, or if they ran out, or if they later decided against carrying them.

Yeah I checked there site already and nothing. I actually have them on my 2014 TL and I'd buy them again for my wife's RDX. I'm gonna contact them.

They stop carrying them for TL as well. I only know of one other person with a set.

I was told today that MAP Industries/Weathertech expects the in-channel side window wind deflectors for the 2013-15 RDX to be available in the next 3-6 months as they are currently in development.

Good to know. I personally am not a fan of weathertech visors since they wedge inbetween the the window rather than over.

Just got a response back from Well Visors and they are on back order until sometime next month.

It would be great to post some pics after installation if you are going to get the WellVisors ones in the future.

Yeah I emailed them again. I need solid dates of production. Once I know, I'll let everyone else know because I'm sure they'll only have a limited number just like my TL.

There's good news and bad news.

Good news:
Randomly checked wellvisors.com tonight to see if they had the visors for the RDX. To my surprise they did for $82.99 with free shipping! Says fits 2013-2015 so I'd say my 16 is in the clear. I looked up the window molding part numbers between the years and they were the same. Sent in my payment so I would say I'll see them mid next week.

Bad news:
I went back to just read the information about them and they're gone now. I guess I picked up the last set. Not sure if anyone else here happen to score a set or if I got the only set made.

Will update this thread once they arrive as well as my build thread.

Perhaps they made a mistake listing them when not ready and you might get a refund, if not, let us know how they fit and take a few pics.

It could have been but it was the same situation when I bought them for my TL. I think they only produce a certain amount per batch. We'll have to wait and see. Bi have my invoice. I'll keep you guys posted once I receive my tracking number and when they arrive I will definitely post pictures and my review.

I was speaking with wellvisors late last month and they did say they were gonna have some sometime this month.

Same answer I got from them JULY of last year! Called today and was told they are in development but are having engineering issues with fit.

After I receive mine and they turn out legit, maybe we can get Wellvisors to offer a group buy for Acurazine members. Help us and helps them. Plus we could try for a discounted price. They are already priced low so no complaints.

Visors came in the mail today. I wasted no time to install them. Full review in my build thread with more pictures. Don't feel like double posting:

Just so everyone is aware, these are now up at Vent Visor | Car Wind Deflector | Rain Guard | Window Deflector - Wellvisors not sure how many they have in stock but I'm sure it's another limited production. Price is $82.99 with free shipping.

Installation is tape and clips, what are the clips connected to?

It's has tape like all visors. It has added clips/brackets that tuck behind the window trim. They're pretty secure. Better then just tape alone.

I still need to get shots of the windows fully down and halfway for you guys. I'll post soon.

Good information. I just bought a used RDX 2014. I couldn't find visors on WeatherTech. I'll check out this company. Hope they still have them.

I just checked with them for my 14 RDX and they told me they are out of stock until the end of May this year. It amazes me that Weathertech makes them for my 02 civic and not for the RDX.

i was thinking the same thing. The accessory options for the 2nd gen are super limited. I prefer the flush look of weathertechs over the well visors. The wells seem to protrude out quite a bit

I like the wells because they flow better in my opinion with the chrome trim. I have never been a fan of the in channel visors. That's just a personal preference though.

Unfortunately, it's wells or nothing. I'm more surprised Acura doesn't have them as an option.

Me too, I think the Weathertechs look better. The Well visors seem kind of "swollen" to me for lack of a better term. But, there's nothing else so I will probably get them and they are priced right IMO.

yeah it's Wells or nothing you're right. And about Acura, they have other nice accessories, but I don't understand why not visors. Honda makes them for the CRV, why can't they make them for Acura? Baffles me...

This sums us my thoughts on deciding to go with WellVisor. It was the way they flowed with the chrome trim. And compared to the visors I had on my old truck, these are no where near as swollen as some have described.

Thumbs up That looks sharp

That's one good looking RDX. I just ordered my Well Visors about a minute ago for my 2014 RDX Tech AWD. $86.99 tax and shipping included, not bad at all.

Thanks. I originally was leaning towards no visors thought until I saw this thread and previous pics of Well Visors installed on other posters vehicles. The product is of good quality. You'll be pleased with the end result.

Got my Well Visors today and quickly installed them! They look really good and not "bloated" at all. The product seems to be built with quality materials and craftsmanship. I would really recommend this product!

Well Visors finally installed!!

Here are a few pics of my RDX with the Well Visors installed. It took me like 25 to 30 minutes to do all four doors. I like the quality of the product and how it looks. I definitely recommend them!

Revisiting the thought of installing window visors/deflectors but I’ve been seeing more of the weathertech visors out there

i know weather tech does not make them for the rdx yet but is there an alternative or another aftermarket option that I can get for the rdx that doesn’t clip or glue on, but is an in-channel visor?

I agree! I recall Honda selling window visors for some of their vehicles and they look like they may have used this brand.
