Wow, you like it real illegal don't you!

 

My 2016 WDP Advance fresh out the tint shop today. 15% fronts and 35% over the rears to even it out. Very happy with the outcome.

My 2013 RDX has 50% front, 35% front sides, 20% sunroof, 20% rear hatch in northern va

 

My tint guy metered the factory windows (rear window and tailgate) at I believe 27%. But he recommended 20% for the front windows (I had to sign a waiver) because the front gets the light from the windshield which gives a lighter effect to the front door windows. And he was exactly right. 20% is below legal but I see so many cars with much darker windows so I'm not worried. Heck, marijuana is legal here along with much else (which I support) so a shade darker window would seem to be a minor policing matter. We'll see!

 

@carbonTSEX - could you share the brand/sub-brand of the film you installed - it looks pretty identical in color to factory tint.

I recently bought a 2014 RDX white with parchment interior and I am looking to install Formula one pinnacle ceramic tint. Do you guys suggest me to go 15% front and 30% rear (I am in Ontario, Canada and it's up to the Cops discretion to decide) or 30% front and 50% rear.

I am hoping it comes close to matching if not as long as the front is lighter than the back should be good.

If anyone have any insights and experiences with this please do share. Thanks

 

from what I was told, factory tints on the rear windows are about 25-30% so if you went with 20% on the front windows, they should be as close of a match you can get. I did llumar ceramic tints and I'm pleased with it. I chose not to get the rear windows done since I'm normally the only one in the car but that might change this coming summer.

im in Toronto as well and have never been stopped with my tints. Toronto is pretty laid back when it comes to being pulled over for car mods. Cops aren't that picky around here. A friend of mine has 10% on her gti and still hasn't gotten pulled over
