licence plate bulb removal help

Do you simply go in from the inside of the rear hatch to access to licence plate bulbs? There seems to be nothing online as far as DIYs.
Cheers

There are two access panels on the inside of the hatch. I can do a write up when I get back from vacation if no one responds.

That would be wonderful, thank you so much. I forgot to mention I am driving a 2014 RDX. I hope that does not confuse things too much.
Cheers

Talking Simple But A Bit Frustrating

I actually just got done replacing my stock lights for LED lights. When having the lift gate up and you are facing it from the inside of the trunk area, there should be 2 panels(top and bottom). The top panel is the one which gives you access to the license plates lights. Use a plastic tool to pry out a corner of the panel (plastic is better so as to not damage the panel). Preferrably the left or right bottom. Once you get one of the corners off, then continue to pull the panel away from it's housing. Now the easy part is to grasp the clips on both sides of the light housing, press them in firmly and pull the housing out. You may have to do a bit of wiggling to get it out.
After you've replaced the light, just repeat the steps to re-install the light housing. NOTE: Replacing the light housing can be a trying task! If you've never done it before it may take you some time to get the hang of putting it back inside. Just take your time and you will get it! Good Luck!!

aquaman38, I'm sorry and I didn't see this till after I posted my reply. These instructions are for a 2016 RDX. So I don't know if it applies to your 2014. If it does, great. If it doesn't, then again, I am sorry

I got the bulbs from IJDMTOY.COM. However, you can get the bulbs from Amazon. I used the 360-Degree Shine 12-SMD T10 Wedge Light LED Bulbs. They have 2 colors available. I used the White color but it seems more on the Blue side to me. Were you able to get the bulbs out?

Thank you, I got them out and have replaced them already. Now on to the reverse lights. There is no problem replacing them with LEDs is there?
Cheers

Well, I have not ever changed the reverse lights on the RDX I am driving now. However, I did change them out on the 2007 TSX i had before and it was fairly easy. I surmise you should be able to change the reverse lights out easily.
