LED Map light options

I would like to know the replacement options for the front LED light. Now that I've replaced the rear dome light (and others) with LED, the front lights look relatively dim and yellow.

Also do I just pull the LED out or is it hard wired? I didn't want to try too hard pulling it out.

I've attached a pic for reference.

I assume no one has replaced their stock map LEDs yet or the right person hasn't seen this post...

In the meantime, I thought I'd share. I purchased the LEDs for my RDX from exLEDusa. They are a little pricey but they regularly have 20% off codes on the web/facebook. I've had them in my TSX for about 2 years. They are easy to install, super bright, and reliable so far.

exLEDusa doesn't have the part numbers for the RDX listed on the website but here is what I ordered:
I don't have LEDs in the hatch yet because the typical Honda/Acura trunk light doesn't fit because the RDX has a switch on the hatch light. I'm working with exLEDusa to find the right part.

You can't replace the map lights as they are a part of the circuit board. The diodes are individually installed in the board.

Maybe a blue film in the cover can make the yellow LEDs a bit whiter?

I posted this back in 2013: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...ackage-898919/ Go about 1/2 way down and you'll see all the parts/URL.
