Changing fuse question

Hello everyone,
I'm new here and not too sure if I'm in the right section.

I need to replace a fuse on my 2016 RDX but not sure if I have to unplug the battery or not. If I unplug it do I need a code? I read that some cars need code when unplugging and plugging in the car battery. Any help would be great thank you

Before disconnecting the battery, do not forget to change the oil, new tires and the battery in remote control, these are mandatory procedures before replacing the fuse. Sometimes a fuse replacement requires a trip to the dealer for a software update.
But to be serious, when you think about disconnecting the battery to change the fuse, it's best to go to an electrician who will change the fuse for you.

There was no reason to come across as an a** h***. They came here to ask a qustion because they want to deal with it themself. To answer the question, No. The battery does not need to be disconnected. Was that so hard to answer.

If a person is so far from electricity that he asks such questions, maybe it is better for him to generally stay away from the fuse box and take the car to a technician?

Altair47, you must not have not got what you wanted for Christmas. Your inputs on this forum are most always helpful and I mean that. Newbie questions are what this forum is for. If the fuse is associated with the SRS system (air bags/restraints) maybe he does need to disconnect the battery. If the battery is disconnected then he will need the code to reset the audio system or know the secret about the holding the on/off switch for a few seconds.

Luv ya man....

In the Supplemental Restraint System, the fuses are never directly connected to the inflators, so the battery does not need to be disconnected to replace the fuses.
