Figured I'd give a report on my install. The parts are fairly expensive but they are all high quality. I found the best prices for all three at amazon.

The mirror tap's +/- are easy to install. The + goes to the mirrors outside terminal and the - goes to the wire right next to it. Once fully seated they are some what pushing against each other and so everything is nice and tight. The attached pic I found somewhere online... but my 16 tech looks identical so I just used it.

As you can see in the side picture the wire is easily seen... but only from the camera viewpoint. Sitting in the drivers seat, passenger seat, and walking up to the car, its not noticeable at all.
I'm glad I spent the extra and got the blendmount and mirror tap. two thumbs up IMO...
