Cylinder deactivation indicator

Good morning RDXers, I am curious if anyone knows about product that shows how many cylinders are firing any any time. It seems to me if you knew you were running on 3 cylinders, it might help with maximizing your mileage by keeping the engine in that configuration for as long as possible. Yes, you do get some indication of the deactivation when the instant mileage indicator goes to 40-50 mpg. I would think someone has developed an indicator that has 6 lights (two rows of three?) one for each cylinder that light up when the cylinder is firing.

Honestly, something like that would drive me nuts. I don't mind it has the VCM and seems to work well (drove several hundred miles yesterday and averaged 28 mpg even with heavy stop-and-go traffic at times). If gas mileage is that big of a concern then the RDX may not be the most ideal choice. Go for a 4-cylinder (non-turbo) or get some type of hybrid.

I can see where it could drive you nuts. I am not that concerned about mileage just curious about how the car works. Drove 250 miles yesterday, mostly hwy, and did a little under 30 mpg. Two people, the car was full with luggage and beach stuff, and avg speed over 70. Not too bad.
