Hi

I purchased 2014 Acura RDX with Tech package today for private seller. After purchase; I realized the "add phone" button is always gray. I tried handsfreelink as well.
Seems nothing is working.
Attempt 1: Start the vehicle -> Click on "phone" -> "Set new Phone" -> all buttons on the screen grayed out.
Attempt2: Start the vehicle-> press handsfreelink for 5 seconds ... not visible change on dashboard or LCD

Wondering if you can provide suggestions to enable bluetooth on this device.

1. Is bluetooth on your phone turned on?
2. Is your phone bluetooth set as dicoverable?

 

Yes phone Bluetooth is on. Issues is with vehicle; add new phone option is not presented on click on "Phone" button on the car. Tried to add new phone manually however "add/delete/view history buttons were grayed out.
Hands-free buttons on steering wheel are not responding.

 

Could be your HFL module is not working.

Or it could be that the previous owner used up all the paired device slots. This grays out the add new phone.

Did you find a solution for this problem ?
I'm having the same problem with my new bought RDX 2013.
All selections under Connection are grayed.
The buttons of the phone and Talk on the wheel are not responding.
