2015 RDX fob question
Sorry if this isn't the right forum, but I need an answer by 3 PM or else I'm out 310 bucks for new fob from the dealer.
I had the driver 1 fob (no manual key) in my pocket last night approaching the car in airport parking lot. Unlocked the car from outside, started.... got home. My wife had the Driver 2 fob in her purse on passenger side door pocket. I do not know if Driver 1 or Driver 2 settings were set for ride home. Probably Driver 1.
Got out of car, realized I could not find my driver 1 fob, nowhere to be found. This morning, still could not find it.
I brought Driver 2 fob into car this morning, car starts... but driver 1 settings pop up!
Drive to work as driver 1, still cannot find driver 1 fob, check everywhere in car.
Park car at work thinking because Driver 1 came up in morning, Driver 1 fob HAS to be hidden somewhere in car. However, try restarting car without driver 2 fob.... doesn't start. Now, only starts with driver 2 fob.
Longwided story, but ultimate question... does the fact my car started as Driver 1 this morning indicate Driver 1 fob is definitely somewhere in car and I'm not searching hard enough? Thanks! ken h

I have had something similar happen. My wife has the driver 2 fob and when she gets in the car and starts it, it usually defaults to driver 1 settings. Now I haven't had time to test this, but the only thing I can think of is that when I park in our garage, I never lock the car. So the car is already unlocked when she gets in and since that is the case, the car remembers which fob unlocked the car last.
This is the only thing I can think of for it behave like that.
