What to do upon delivery
What to do upon delivery
I was looking for thread for delivery of the car.
Specific questions to ask the dealer?
Changes to system? I don't know about the RDX, but when I picked up a Passat it was possible to have the dealer change the car's settings for behavior on locking to turn off the chirp. Free on delivery day, a service charge afterward.
From what I've read on this forum so far, it sounds like if one has been promised a free oil change to get it in writing.
Picking up a graphite/parchment AWD RDX with Tech on Saturday.

the MID inside the car can change the settings, ie: chirp upon lock, etc.
specific questions to ask the dealer are specific to your needs and what you understand of the vehicle.
there doesnt seem to be much to do, except for welcoming your new vehicle.
congrats.

The basics:
1. Look around the car, even the roof and wheels, to make sure there are no dings, scratches or defects.
2. Make sure there's a full tank of gas.
3. Check the interior for any defects, like in #1.
4. Make sure the radio, power seats, and other functions are working properly.
5. Make sure you have the manual with both sets of keys and wheel lock key, if wheel locks are installed.
Typically, the sales person or the delivery staff will go over the car's functions with you. You can ask them to setup your light delays and locking preference then.
Good luck.

Some of the customization isn't intuitive at first, but spend some time playing with the settings and it will start to make sense. There is actually quite a bit you can do re: changing how the lights work and doors and rear hatch operate.
Congrats on the new vehicle - you'll like it!

I always ask the phone be paired, which is actually quite easy and learn most of the other things as I go. That said I came from a 2010 TL SH-AWD Tech, so many of the features were similar.
Your sales rep should have a checklist of items to go over with you, ask questions about anything you're not certain about. I can't believe a dealer would charge you for follow up at questions after you pick up the car. I've stopped in to the dealer many times to ask a question and/or get help with things, like after the first time I played a CD and got what I thought was a strange message. (Didn't realize the CDs get downloaded to the cars hard drive) Good luck with the new ride, I think you're going to enjoy it.
Hou-RL, thanks for that link. It reminded me about the dealer nameplate.
5 Acuras, I didn't mean that they wouldn't answer questions after delivery, but I thought anything involving the service department would be chancy. I'm sure the salesman will be more than accommodating until at least we complete his survey and probably even after that. He did mention that he would pair a phone after delivery.
I might just be out of date here. I don't buy cars very often
