Ventilated Seats not working
Ventilated Seats not working
I bought a CPO 2016 RDX and my ventilated seats stopped working and is under warranty. I took it to dealer, they said the fan under the seat is working but the perforated seats are clogged and thus not under warranty, they could fix it, but would have to tear the seat apart and take it to an upholster.
I took it home and preceded to check about 30 to 40 of the holes near the back and few along side and upfront, not one was clogged or dirty. I than used a high suction vacuum cleaner and checked a few holes again, and it didn't work either. Would steam cleaning be worth the try, but not really wanting to use steam on leather seats.
Any suggestions, could the seat/fan be clogged between fan and bottom of seat? There's something wrapped in a plastic bag. I just took it in to get a bearing replaced and shortly there after I noticed the seat ventilation not working. . Kinda surprised all the little and big problems cropping up in the year and half I have had the car, the warranty runs out next January. I called the quality customer service, let's see what happens, but if two techs couldn't figure it out, doubt taking it there again will produce different results.

Did you get a response from Acura Customer Service? I'd be inclined to take it back and make them show you where it is clogged since you couldn't find any evidence of that. Be the squeaky wheel. Keep pushing for results.
TKS for the useful suggestions.
I talked to the dealer's customer service rep, and they said they will take another look. I will ask them to show where it is blocked. Thought I would try to work it out with the dealership where I bought the car, but other dealers might be worth the try.
I will keep u guys updated, tks again and yeah the squeaky wheel get's the grease
