used 2013 rdx base vs used 2012 mdx tech

hello everyone.
i am currently in the process of buying a new car since my 09 tsx has been giving me troubles after 195k miles.
i came across a nice 2013 rdx. pretty much has everything i am looking for.
the only concern is that it is the first year of new shape and normally those have issues. so far i have not come across any.
i also hate that it doesnt have HIDs. still not a big deal i can get some installed my self.

i can pretty much also find a decent MDX around the same price range.
and was wondering which one would be a better option.
i do get more space but less mpg.
any other concerns i should keep in mind

another thing to consider is that i drive about 1000 miles in a week so i need something thats comfortable and can last me a long time. just like my 09TSX

thanks

My pick would be the MDX tech since you mentioned comfort as important to you. RDX is very comfortable too but not to the level of MDX. Does it have jewel eye LED headlights? Then it would be a no brainer for me. The added space and utility would be a bonus.

The 2nd generation RDX does indeed have HID headlights. They just are not like the 2016 and forward Jewel Eye HID. I have a 14 and 17, mind you not the base and they have been great vehicles, mush more reliable than the MDX for some unknown reason.
