IT'S AWESOME! You get noticeably faster acceleration because sport mode keeps the car in the gears longer. This is impressive considering the acceleration in D mode is already very fast. This thing has POWER!! When I drive hot chicks in my car, I'm gonna put it in Sport mode. If I'm driving average looking girls, D mode to save gas. HEH!

Are you for real? The RDX is not a fast car, nor does it have impressive power, it's a fine vehicle, it's all relative, 5.7 to 6.3 0-60 depending on who tests it is not fast. Try driving a car that gets sub 4.0 sec 0-60 times, you'll rethink what you think is fast. You are too funny, I can only think your posts are meant to be over the top on purpose just to get a reaction or you are so juvenile and immature you don't know the difference between fact and reality.

Did you pull any 9.0+ girls in Sport mode or is still the crappy 8.5s?

Sub 4 seconds is like super car territory. For luxury cars, 6 seconds is extremely fast. The 2016 RDX is one of the fastest cars in the crossover class.

The vehicle is very impressive. One of the fastest crossovers on the market. So happy they didn't go for 4 cylinder only like some other brands.

rocky - You have the Canadian version of the RDX and it is much faster than the American version. IIRC, the Canadian version comes with a warp drive unit which accounts for the awesome power you are experiencing.

Don't mind all those A holes bashing the power of the RDX, they must all have a GTR in their garage to drive on the weekends

I like Sport mode because it also locks out the 6th gear, very useful in city driving, so that you don't end up driving in 6th gear while doing 50 mph.

I did look at the Audi but the q5. That was like my third choice. The SQ5 is sweet but much more expensive. Also, Audi is Volkswagon. They lie and cheat about their products so wouldn't feel comfortable buying one right now...

Yep, you're right! Everyone that I've driven in the 2016 RDX noticed two things right away: the power/acceleration and the smoothness going over imperfections in the road. I'm very satisfied with this beast!
It is quick and takes off in a hurry when you floor it, I had a 2005 dodge magnum with a V8 that got 13 mpg, and 0-60 was 6.2, then I test drove a 2013 RDX when they first came out and it was just as fast, even better off the line with the AWD, and nice and quiet.

So did you end up getting the RDX? If so, would you share how much you got it for? The RDX was our seconds choice.

Sure did! Got the 2016 RDX Elite (fully loaded in Canada). Got it for about $51,000 Canadian after tax and including all mats.

I would have been able to get a Tech in Ontario for around 49k OTR.

No, I'd say it's very appropriate.

I'm not very familiar with OP's posts but I can hardly see the RDX being a chick magnet unless it's to attract soccer moms... The overall look is rather reserved (I'm talking about the 2016).

Yes, I also have a '16 with the Advanced Package. About the only time mine goes into Sport mode is if I'm using compression braking COASTING down hill.
Finally, does you dad know how you're driving his rig?

oh dear Lord.... the RDX does not make the 0-60 run any faster in sport mode... it might actually be SLOWER as it has to wait for you to tap the paddle and then shift to the next gear....

Honestly kind of surprised the mods don't shut down these threads. I realize he is probably not breaking any forum rules and is therefore getting away with it, I just don't understand why. The threads make no sense, the same useless crap over and over and the whole thing reads like a brochure all the time. Can someone really be this weird?

I read through some of his posts and threads and they do seem a little over the top. You guys are quite mean though LOL
If he's not a troll, at least he's greatly appreciating his car more than any of us.
