Tip-in is everything

Well, not really everything, but it sure makes a world of difference in the way a car feels.

Even between my 2012 TL and this 2013 RDX, the RDX's slightly more aggressive throttle tip-in makes it feel lighter, spunkier, more energetic.

I don't know if there's a way to adjust tip-in with today's DBW throttles, but when it's "lazy" the car feels sluggiish, even when it's got plenty of power on tap. Fortunately, my RDX has immediate response, and while I know it's no race car it does feel nice and lively.

The one thing I like about my M is the mode control, which adjusts tip-in and shift points, while Standard mode is fine, Sport mode holds shifts and the tips in is a tad more aggressive.

I believe the sports mode on the RDX does the same thing... I've felt tip in, throttle response and shifting much more aggressive...
