This looks doable for $300 ish, assuming the vent would connect to this new piece under the dash (9, 10, 11) in lieu of the under foot back seat vents that our 2013 has (3, 4, 5)
Would likely also fab up some USB charging ports in those very Honda-like blanks.
Thanks again to Bernardi Acura parts for having nice diagrams.
This does not look like an afternoon job, but at least all the parts are there.
Now the more I look at the diagrams, this might require removal of the front seats and center console.
With one and soon-to-be two car seats in the rear, no rear vents is the main reason we opted to wait for the 2016 (the foot vents do nothing for young children).
I'm a medium do-it-yourselfer and love to tinker, so I like and understand where your head is at...my concern would be air flow strength - do the 13-15 foot vents receive the same airflow of the 16 rear vents?
You'd hate to do the work and have the air flow be a whisper rather than a scream.
Pretty much got spoiled by the vents on the B-pillars in the Volvos. The pup could look out the window and enjoy a bit of A/C at the same time. I don't think this mod would be for us, as we seldom have humans in the back seat. Looks like a fun project
Looks to be possible. If I could retrofit a passenger seat electrical control with vertical adjustments, I'd be looking for a deal on a base 2015 or 2016.

Did anyone end up doing this mod? I'm also interested in doing this as our kid needs a bit more air than before in the backseat. the long duct (36?) might not fit so would need to look at a 2016 RDX to see what the ducting situation is before attempting.
