Cleaning RDX interior surfaces

Hey, what do you use to clean the interior surfaces especially a dusted covered dashboard?

Water....If you use a chemical on your dash it will cloud the inside of your windshield once the sun hits it.

I use Armor All Interior wipes on the hard surfaces. I picked it up at Walmart. I'm sure there may be a better product if I took the time to research it.

I think that water is a pretty good solution. What you don't want is something that will electrostatically charge the surface and thereby attract the dust. That just makes it worse in the long run.

Add to a gallon of water a spoon of liquid soap. Liberally brush surface with solution and wipe off with microfiber clothe. This is all you need.

Tons of dust where I live. I just keep a microfiber cloth in the car and wipe the dash and everything else with it

Me too. I usually clean the dash with wet cloth first, then apply the Armor All.

Use Aerospace 303 on the dash and rubber seals around the doors and sunroof. I have been using it for over decade and its the only thing that keeps rubber soft

It depends how dirty your interior has become. If dusty but clean overall, use a simple all-in-one interior cleaner that has UV protection. European car owners tend to use higher cost German products like Sonus or Nextzett, but in my experience they all work similar. I gravitate towards 303 Protectant because it works well on both interior and exterior trim. Regardless, I stick to decent brands that I can find locally. Wal-Mart is usually stocked and cheapest, else the usual Autozone/O'Reillys. Stay away from Armor All products.

Meguiar's Quik Interior Cleaner
Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner
303 Automotive Protectant
Adam's Interior Detailer
Griot's Interior Detailer

If you need a deeper clean, I keep it simple and use hot water and natural soap like Seventh Generation dish soap with a clean scrubber. For an actual car cleaner product, I've had good luck with Chemical Guys Nonsense All Purpose Cleaner. You can dilute it to the strength you need, and its fairly cheap. I use it on my engine bay as well.

Hope this helps.
