RDX Front Bumper Gap

Hello,

I took my 2015 RDX to the repair shop after an accident to fix the front of the car. They put a new bumper on but there is a gap, I dont recall a gap every on by RDX prior to the accident/repair. Is this normal? The repair shop said this was the tightest they could get it seeing how the bumper is put on by robots in the factory.

Thank you.

That is not right. It should be more flush with the headlights and very obviously looks hit. Be more persistent.

My RDX was recently involved in a fender bender that required replacement of the front bumper, the transmission cooler, AC evaporator and some other bits. With a proper repair there are no unusual gaps or misaligned parts, it looks absolutely factory. I'm thinking something beneath the plastic didn't get repaired properly on your car. Tell the shop to do it again or.....tell the insurance company how unhappy you are with the work. Don't sign off on anything until it's done right.

Cheers!

For starters, let them replace the parts with FACTORY parts, not the aftermarket crap that insurance companies like to use these days. I've seen the difference.

Defiantly not put together right. It looks like aftermarket bumper cover and not oem acura bumper cover. Not acceptable at all!!! I got rear ended by some A**hole a few weeks ago while sitting at the intersection and had two cars in front of me. I am ok but car is not. I know for fact all parts were ordered from acura dealer ship and I specified and talked to insurance only oem no aftermarket parts. Good Luck....

Funny thing is mine has horrible panel gaps all over the place from the factory with 10 miles on the clock. I had to have the driver side quarter panel adjusted after delivery. Hyundai has much tighter panel gaps on a Tuscon. I agree that bumper looks bad though.
