Unhappy Rdx awd tech pgk - Order or wait?

I am in northern CA and my wife wants a kona coffee AWD RDX with tech pkg. There is currently no kona coffee colors like that in the state. Does anyone have any opinions on how I should proceed? Obviously I want a good price but if it's not on the lot I seem to be at a disadvantage? We would like to have one in a month or two but maybe ordering would take 3 months or longer?

I ordered a 2016 RDX advance package in the basque red Pearl. They said it would be in by the end of June and today they called and said it will be here on Monday or Tuesday so I doubt it would take you 3 months. Order and get what you want!

You might be better off negotiating for a delivered car rather than accepting one on the lot... The cars on the lot likely have a lot of dealer-added gewgaws, including useless (but pricey) acrylic finishes, options (running boards, ski racks, etc.). Dealers make a huge profit on these, but you can resist them when you order a car from the factory.

I would order exactly what you want. The wait will be worth it. While SoCal is a bit from Ohio, I would say (3) months would be a worse case scenario. Considering you would be a done sale, perhaps the dealer would offer up a sweeter deal overall for a unit he's not floor planning.
good luck,

The model we want starts at $40,370. I read somewhere invoice is $38,075. I am wondering what is a good price to offer on an order? I am also wondering if I should get accessories as part of the deal? I was planning to use online purchasing of accessories thru currryacura as their prices seemed good

I would not get ANY of those accessories, unless you buy at msrp and have them added in for free to help lower the overall cost. Purchase them online for much much cheaper and avoid all the extra crap for undercoating and water resistant coating and leather coating...etc.
