I took out a BMW 528 with the I4. It did have good performance for a mid size sedan. I did not like the "start/stop" engine feature. The dealer says the service department can default that to "off" at start up.

Even a lighty-tuned and modded turbo RDX I4 will blow you away if you have not driven it before. Torque beast!
on paper the 228i is a great car...problem is that the M235i exists, which I tried and would buy if I were buying a BMW today (I guess M240i soon...). BMW and I6 kind of go together for me...but again choice is good.

The RDX should've come from the factory with the hondata tune/exhaust...I drove one these a long time ago and it was very car like in a good way, though a bit stiff (it was an 07). Still disappointed that even in 2016 the rdx is without real shawd, yet the pilot gets it haha.

The early RDXs were really feature-loaded even at the base level. Acura is cheaping-out and tying many of these same features to the optional packages now. Well, certainly sales look good, so who am I to say.

From what I have been reading, the IVTM system found in the Pilot still has many differences from SH-AWD. I doubt Honda would put a full-blown SH-AWD into the Pilot, lest they want to really bite into the MDX market. But it seems more advanced than the slip-n-grip of the current RDX. The new Pilot looks like a fine vehicle - but way too big for my needs.
