Coming to the end the trial period of my 2016's AcuraLink and am trying to decide if it would be worth paying the $359/3 year subscription fee. I have used it a few times for loading maps, checking the fuel level and have found it to be reliable despite what I have read on the forum about previous versions. The price of premium service is more than I am willing to pay and the free service seems somewhat useless, so I am left trying to decide if I should pay for the "connect" level. Anyone else with a 2016 considering or have this yet?

 

I will pay for it just for the remote unlock feature.

I had an accident with my wife occurred far from home, locking my daughter inside our old X5 (keys left inside, still can't figure out how that happened) and it took 20 minutes before the FD came and broke the glass.
After I went through that, I want that feature, just for my peace of mind.

 

Yes, that is one of the most alluring features. Not something I would use very often, but if put in the situation where I need it I'd be very glad to have it! I really like being able to push navigation to the car as well.

The "standard" is free for 3 years, but the OP is asking about the "connect" package.

 

Traffic data service is an indication of traffic conditions on the NAV map (eg red line indicates slow traffic). It is the only real benefit of the free standard package as I see it. Connect package includes the ability of setting a destination on your computer or phone and to push the directions to the NAV system so that it is preprogramed when you start the car.
