Need advice on upgrading suspension

For a while now, I’ve been unsatisfied with the ride quality and handling of my 2017 Advance. I’m looking into replacing and upgrading the suspension. The current ride is choppy, nervous, lots of rattling and some clunking, and handling sub-par with considerable body roll. I don’t want things overly stiff but not too soft either. So an upgrade to all those flaws I mentioned are a top priority.

I’ve gotten one estimate so far for the parts and labor. My knowledge of suspension inner workings is limited, so I’m looking for advice and suggestions. Price aside and based on the photos shown, is there anything else I should consider replacing? Is there anything missing?

I would say it this way,,your about to get totally ripped off. The rear shocks KYB will cost you about 80 bucks each and take about 30 min to put on for both sides, if that give you a base line. The front KYB struts cost about 90 bucks each and will take about
1 hour a side. The strut mounts and bearings run about another 50 bucks each. so around 400- bucks in parts would be that end of it,,,whom ever has quoted this for you must be charging around 200 bucks or more per hour labor, they must
have a law practice on the side. With that being said KYB struts and shocks really made a difference in a positive way for my ride. Good luck to you with the work

This is just the first estimate I’ve gotten. This is the closest shop to me and they’ve done minor work for me before. I’m just using this as a baseline to start as far as parts and the install are concerned. I’m interested to know if this business has left anything out or overlooked something. I’ve had friends tell me to replace bushings, tie rods, sway bar links. Is any of that necessary and/or recommended?

The additional work that you have mentioned sway bar bushings and stuff you should ask them to inspect and see if the parts are needed. Spot I take my car couldn't find the kyb parts so I bought them online and took them to the shop and had them installed. My bill came back with all things added together for less than 800 bucks. Do not know where you live and that does make a difference, but down here in the south in the rural areas of the country , we do find costs lower than in cities. Good luck with your project.
