I totally agree Acura is like a Buick or Chrysler. They compared the ILX to the Civic but also should have compared it to the IS250, CLA, A3, and 3 Series. The engine alone does not compete.

To me, I like Acura because they are drivers vehicles, enough luxury for me, the price is right, and they are reliable. That's why I have owned so many. I am a Honda guy through and through.

I'm new to Acura as of three weeks ago today. I traded in my beloved Toyota 4Runner but honestly thought I'd be a Toyota owner forever. I test drove a few different Toyota's including the 2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited and I was not "blown away". For that kind of money, I better be. I looked at the Ford Edge Sport and once again thought it was just nice. I built a Lexus RX 350 and didn't even bother to test drive because of the cost with "must have" add ons. That is when I discovered the RDX online. Honestly both Honda & Acura we're never even on my radar. After seeing the safety ratings & much research on reliability I decided to test drive the 2014 RDX AWD Tech and the moment I got in - it blew me away. I loved it. Although it's smaller than the 4Runner which I bought brand new and drove for 7 years, it has all the room I need & it's so much fun to drive. It handles perfect and is just so comfortable. I will admit, I do feel like this is my transition into luxury vehicles as that article stated and I'm perfectly happy with it being with an Acura!!!

Thanks!!! And yes I did notice that…. Hahaha!

Also, I've been reading posts throughout this forum and noticed how found you are of the white cars. I really wanted White Diamond Pearl, but I was disappointed that it is not offered with ebony interior. I have two dogs and did not want to take a chance with the parchment color.
Instead I ended up with the Silver Moon, which I believe is still a classic color but just doesn’t have that extra punch the white delivers.

Maybe my next Acura will offer a white exterior with a black interior.
