I have about 55K Mile on 2015 Acura RDX and i think it is time that i take it for the brake fluid change. However, I plan on taking to the local auto shop and don't know how much brake fluid i need for the job. I plan on buying Acura fluid online. Any suggestion on how much to buy and from where?

 

check your owners manual...will have fluid capacity amounts.

Since this is a topic/technical issue which will require replies, and not a "New Member Introduction", this thread has been moved to the model specific forum.

 

You don't have to buy the Acura brake fluid. Any DOT4 fluid will work just fine. Either way, I personally use about 1.5 quarts to flush the entire system. I'm not sure what size bottles the Acura stuff is sold in but I'd get at least that much. And if you have extra, you can keep it to top the fluid off when needed.

 

 

Just changed the brake fluid in my wife's RDX last night I ordered 3 12Oz bottles of Amsoil and ended up using 2 and 1/4 bottles of fluid, I also drained the brake reservoir before starting so I wouldn't waste so much trying to get the old fluid out.
