How many miles on your RDX?

I just bought a 2015 RDX. It had 4 miles on it. Now it has 500. So far I love it. My last vehicle was 15 years old and had 270k and was still running great (gave it to my son). I am wondering if these RDXs can go the distance. How many miles are on your ride?

What have you folks done about tires? Our original tires have never had particularly good grip, wet or dry. Now, with 34K miles, I'm looking to replace them with something grippier(and quieter) IF we decide to buy out the lease in August.

I don't have a problem with the current tires. The Michelins are one of the best in the industry as far as I know. You can put tires meant for performance but the RDX is not the right car for that (Just keep the four new tires in place and change the car &#128515.

I put the Goodyear Assurance tires on the XC60 after wearing out(and getting tired of) the original Scorpions and swapped the original C70 Michelins for the same type tire. Fantastic improvement in grip and noise. These stock Michelins on the RDX have never felt all that grabby to me and have been very loud(at various tire pressures) on our concrete highways(less noisy on the asphalt, naturally). Unfortunately, we traded both of the Volvos for new vehicles within a year of the tire swap...no feedback on long-term reliability or performance. The Goodyear Assurance is actually sold as a quiet, comfortable tire; but I found the wet and dry gripping improvement to be significant.

Just under 9000 miles. Bought it in August 2013. We don't drive much, just a couple of old retired people. We had the CR-V we traded in for six years and it had just under 30000 miles.

With just about 45K, our tires are just about done. Strongly considering the Continental Cross Contact LX20. After all my years in the tire business, I've been very impressed with their products.

This zombie thread made me look back and see my own response. In March 2015, I was at 21k; now at 120k. No longer new but still rock solid.

2016 RDX now has 95K miles. Other than wear items, needed a new timer belt pulley. Had the mechanic change the water pump at the same time.

2014 RDX bought 08/20 with 116K miles, now has 130K miles. No problems. I was able to find the Acura records showing that the timing belt et al. had been changed.

51,000 miles and I just solved the "massive hesitation upon acceleration" problem. I haven't posted the solution yet as I want to keep verifying for a while that it is a permanent solution.

If you aren't ready to share the solution - perhaps you could let us in on the conditions/symptoms you are trying to solve? "Massive hesitation upon acceleration" sounds like a pretty big deal?? Perhaps you have documented/explained this in a different thread as this one speaks to miles on your RDX?

Yes, the "massive hesitation upon acceleration" is a different thread. Yes, it is a pretty big deal. I haven't posted much in that thread as I was investigating symptoms and solutions since early 2019 and nothing solved the issue. Once I discovered the solution, my plan was to post a notice in that thread and then start a whole new thread concerning the solution. The symptoms are described pretty well by a number of posters in that thread. I only mentioned this in this thread as an aside which I probably shouldn't have done. I don't mean to be secretive about it as I want to be absolutely certain that the solution works before posting it. I really want my solution to be helpful to others and to not lead anyone astray or disappoint anyone.
This is the other thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...e-nuts-979728/

I don't drive the car very many miles so it takes quite a while to accumulate the mileage necessary to be certain that the solution has worked for me. I hate solutions that turn out to be temporary and become a big disappointment, I've been down that road too many times in the last three years!

The thread you posted/linked above is for the 3G RDX (2019+). Your avatar is of a 2G RDX which this thread is about. Are you saying you are experiencing the same thing in your 2G RDX as being described by 3G RDX owners?

Good point!! Yes, the symptom is very similar if not the same as the one I experienced in my 2G.

2017 Tech AWD - 68k miles. Bought used at 40k miles. Only issue was rotor shuddering. Re-surfaced the rotors and new brake pads solved the issue. Transmission has quirks that I had to get used to, but I still enjoy driving this vehicle every day.

Smile 2015 Basque Red - 82,000

Bought a demo demo model in May of 2016 with 6,700 miles for the wife. She loves the ride and feel, very disappointed in the "pleather" and electronics system. She wants a new Black one with Red interior next year which means I inherit her RDX. I'm currently driving her old 2006 TL that just hit 150K. Both still run like champs!

2014 RDX hit 320,000 today.
Still runs. There are noises from the back I can't figure out where they are coming from.
Might need to replace rear shocks, sway bar links and bushings. Going to buy KYB shocks, Moog sway bar links and keep them to head off any parts shortages.
Mileage is down to 23 mpg highway and 18 mpg city just in time for these gas prices.
Do not know how long this engine will last.

2021 RDX. Purchased 10/2021. Hit 2,400 miles yesterday and I'm already getting tired of it.

This should have been posted in the 3G RDX forum as you have a 2021 (maybe one of the Mods will move it). That aside, why are you getting tired of it already???
