Hesitations in the transmission

Is hesitations in the transmission a common problem as described in the 2 links below? Thank you.

For my car YES! I do not care for the 6-sp auto at all. Mine is very rough when cold and I get stumbling/stutters on the freeway at times(maybe the VCM?).

I don’t know about you guys but my RDX has one of the best transmission in all the cars I’ve had. I know it isn’t perfect but I’ve had pretty good luck with it.

I finally got used to the down shifting before the car stops.Never owned a car that noticeably down shifted when braking.

downshift is really bad on RDX, and it bugs me very much when you trying to accelerate in turnpike, you have to wait until the engine wake up from VCM. I will Drain and refill the transmission fluid once it hit 10k, trust me , it is way better D&R every 10k than D&R three times every 30K.
i am also planning to install the vcmuzzler on it in order to get rid of the VCM. i will report back after i do that.

i have honda pilot , same engine but not sure if it is the same transmission. it has bad shifting just like the RDX, it smooth like butter after i drain and refilled with dw1 yesterday. I also have VCMuzzler installed last year, believe me it makes a huge difference, no more vibration, no more hesitation.
