2013 Acura RDX

Good morning guys,

Today is Sunday and all shops are closed so Im not able to get diagnostics.

I started having grinding noise when I try to start a car on cold. I will attach video so you can listen

Noise is coming somewhere bellow battery tray. It means starter or transmission area. Im pretty sure its starter but my millage is 291k miles, so I am thinking there is small possibility its transmission as well.

If anyone have or had familiar noise please let me know in comments. Please tell me Im right its starter, not transmission so I can have peace on my Sunday 😂 Being at 291k miles makes me paranoid that it can be transmission 😂 even tho looks like its failing starter sympthoms

 

100% the starter needs some service.

my friend mechanic from Ukraine offered me to kick it few times with hummer and he said after that it will work another couple years 😂
