Current price paid for Acura RDX 2015
Hello,
I have been reading lot of posts to decide my next SUV and finally I was able to narrow down Nissan Murano SL and Acura RDX (2015). I am little bit leaning towards RDX due to good price, but I am yet to see actual selling price of both. I spoke to Nissan sales manager, he gave me a number of $37500, but I know, there will be negotiation and it can come down. But he said that there are no rebates or incentives, being their hot selling vehicle. This situation let me move towards RDX. Since 2016 is ready to come on lot, there should be some discounts already going on. I am in California.
Does anybody have actual selling numbers, if they were in market looking for same SUVs.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards

I am also in the same situation, waiting for the new RDX to arrive. Narrowed down my search to 2015 RDX and NX. Looking for some actual amount paid in the San Francisco bay area. I talked to a local dealer here 2 weeks ago and he was expecting the 2016 RDXs to hit their lot around the last week of May.
Thanks in advance !

Is it all inclusive price (excluding taxes) ? I would be helpful, if you can break-up this amount. I am new to buying car here and I got high quote at first try.

Price of the car = $36,049 (MSRP $41,117). On road including taxes = $40,179.14
Tip to get a hassle free deal (at least in bar area). Go to edmunds.com and request for quote. Many internet sales managers from the local dealers will respond. Do not give your actual phone # when you request for quote. Just deal with them on the email. Pick up the one with the lowest quote and ask the dealer closest to match that. They will always do. Now walk into the shop like a king without bothered about the retail sales people there. Tell the name of the Internet sales manager. Remember you have already closed the deal. Choose the color, test drive the car, sign up the paper work and drive one back home.
Rather if you walk into the dealer looking for a good deal... you know what will happen. I hate that paper with 4 boxes which those retail sales guys use for putting down their offers :-)

Sure Senthil, I will do that.
When did you bought your RDX ? Did you bought any accessories as well ? There are few other amounts also like doc fees. Your $40,179,14 was including out of door price ?

Took delivery last Sunday. Only accessory that I bought was a cabin tray ($135). The price that I gave included all fees and this accessory.

I just purchased a 2015 RDX base model with FWD only and no Tech package for $33,000 before taxes and other fees (registration). The sticker MSRP is $35,095 + $920 Destination and handling = $36,015 (Central NJ).
We are very happy with the deal and our new 2015 RDX. We considered waiting for the 2016 RDX, but would have lost the $1,000 FWD/$1,500 AWD limited time discounts. They also mentioned that the 2016 base model would be priced higher (~$500).
We looked at the Nissan Murano, but were not impressed. There were "dealer added" options on top of the MSRP pushing the price way above the 2015 RDX. Even after talking turkey they were still too high!

We didn't get a quote for the 2016 model, but we're told the MSRP would be ~$500 higher. We were also shown the 2105 "factory incentives" listings with discounts of $1,000 for the 2015 base model and $1,500 for the Tech package (and AWD drive?). Inventory is starting to deplete on the 2015 models and our dealer had to get the car we wanted from another Acura dealer 40 miles away.
This is our first SUV and we were concerned it wouldn't be as quiet and smooth riding as our previous cars. There's zero noise at 75 MPH on the highway and smooth local roads. On really bad roads the ride is a bit less smooth and quiet, but that was expected.

Same here, our first SUV.
Look-wise, 2016 is little better, but I agree little difference. With what you said, I assume 2016 with tech package can be negotiated to $37500. Since Senthil (other poster on this thread) bought it for 36k. May be, I can set $37000 or $37500 as my limit (excluding taxes).
I will compare features also in same variant in 2015 vs 2016.

You should be able to save at least $1,500 on a 2015 RDX over the comparable 2016 model. You do need to factor in model year trade-in value depreciation, but we keep our cars at least 10-years so not an issue. The biggest new feature is the Acurawatch Plus collision avoidance package ($1,300 MSRP). If you want that then you'll need to go with the 2016 model and spend $1,300 + $1,500 (lost discount) = +$2,800. This may help:

I am yet to understand, how practically these safety features are usable in day to day life (for me).

This article make sense. $2,800 seems big, when I am not very keen in safety features. If I have to sell 2016 after 3 or 5 years, it will give me some extra money, but not in ratio of what I will spend now.

We just got ours 2 weeks ago in Ohio. 2015 RDX AWD with tech for 35,9xx + TTL. Salesman said that price is only offered to out of state customers so they can draw more people in. Loving the car!

I travel Ohio for work....can you share the name of the dealer? I am currently looking all over the country. Not afraid to go get the right car at the right price. Thanks.

2015 AWD with Tech Package - I got quotation of $37,552. OTD - $41,439
But it looks little higher than Senthils and other paid. At least $1,500. Anybody bough recently in SoCal area ?
Otherwise, I won't mind going to Bay area if they will give good deal.

It will be a good idea to request quotes from all the dealers within 50-100 miles and make them compete with each other (using email). I am positive the OTD price for 2015 AWD Tech should be around ~39K or less [in California]

This quote seems really high to me. Maybe you should ask the same dealer for a quote for 2016 AWD+Tech [MSRP is $40,470].

I have not taken a formal quote yet as I wont be ready before the 2nd week of June. A dealer had verbally quoted me 40K OTD for 2015 AWD Tech. This makes me believe that we have some room there.

Midwest - 2015 RDX AWD Tech $37,400 ($41,115 MSRP). Plus it had All Season Mats ($160), Cargo Tray ($135), Splash Guards ($138), Wheel Locks ($56), and Door Edge Film ($50). Total Sticker $41,894 - not sure how that adds up to that because I get $41,654 ($240 in labor on install of accessories?).
#39
That is what we paid. Is within $500 of you and we have at least that in accessories so really about the same price paid. I bet people will be able to steal some at much lower prices over this coming holiday weekend.

We got a RDX Base model 2wd for $31,850 and $35,150 out the door. We also considered the 2015 CRV Touring but they won't budge from the MSRP $32,500 and $36,500 otd, but that made it easy for us to choose the RDX. Way better ride than the CRV.
