Curb View mode

RDX 2013. Recently I noticed that if I use the "curb view" mode on my passenger side mirror, it doesn't fully return to it's previous position when I shift out of "R". I have to manually raise the mirror slightly to bring it to its exact previous position. Can this thing be adjusted so that I don't have to correct it every time i use it.

Oh another thing that's a pain in the neck is the rubber piece on the parking brake pedal, keeps falling off, what can I do to fix it in place for good?

Other than those I am pretty happy with my RDX, great car so far.

EDIT: Well, I lied, there is a third annoyance. The rearview camera, it is useless when it rains, gotta get out and wipe it dry to see anything !!

Thanks

does the mirror stutter in an attempt to return to the "driving" position you set?

have you tried pressing "driver 1" settings button?

if the mirror is binding, then the mirror actuator could be going bad. this will then mess with your driver memory presets if not fixed.

Dealer will fix under warranty and as TLtrigirl said it can begin to impact your presets. It is fairly common.

Rubber falling of the brake might be a safety issue. You need to get it fixed ASAP.

Thanks for the reminder about the mirrors. Ours were binding so much that I defeated the 'tilt down' feature until we can get the dealer to take a look.

As I approach decision time regarding the end of our lease in August, I want to address as many little nits as I can...this being one of them. Still looking like I will purchase the '13 at lease-end, although it may be for a short period if we find something more interesting. IF the dealer can resolve the 'hesitation on acceleration' issue, I'll be more inclined to make the purchase. We have the 36K service coming up(pre-paid), so I'll get them to take a look in the next week or so, sooner if I can get them interested in the hesitation problem.

No, it doesn't stutter, it just remains at a lower position than it was prior to "tilt down", and no, I haven't tried pressing "driver 1" settings button, will try and see what happens. I don't think the mirror is binding. Thanks for the tip.

How is it a safety risk? I thought its more like an annoyance as the parking brake pedal still works, just without the rubber piece. If it was the "brake pedal" instead of the "parking brake pedal" then I agree, a slipping foot might be a safety issue.

Thank you for the tip TLtrigirl, that did it. I am the only driver of the car and I hardly ever use that memory button, so it didn't occur to me that might have been the reason. Who knows how the setting was changed but it work fine now.

Just be aware that if the mirrors or the presets start consistently going a little weird, it could be the mirror actuators.

Happy motoring!

Are you using the same keys to use the car? When you car detects the key, please check if it is for driver 1 or driver 2 (on the display). Using different keys can also cause these issues if you are the only driver.

Yes, I always use the Driver-1 key fob. Screen shows Driver-1 too. I remember I've changed the settings a few times since I bought the car, I might have done the last save when the mirror wasn't properly adjusted.
