Some idiot apparently crashed into the driver side mirror on my ex's RDX resulting in a busted joint. The housing/mirror/motor/signal all seems to be fine. I looked at the parts directory and am a bit lost. Is the mirror housing the right part to get, will it come with the joint installed inside or do I need to replace the whole assembly.

Also, can anyone share the tech manual with the steps for the replacement/dis-assembly? Looks like the door panel needs to come off too, not familiar with how to do that either.
