Who's the computer tough guy? 6'2" 205? And that's supposed to be big? My brother plays pro ball overseas. Everyone in my family is tall. Are we supposed to be impressed by that? Yeah, let's squabble gramps. I'm down to get busy. Air Force sniper? Lol. My sister's husband is a former Marine and I can't tell you how many times I've heard him clown on (that's talk shit for your out of touch ass that may not be up with the lingo) the Air Force and their sissy uniforms. Please... You just go too far with the comedy man.

I swear though. Every time Colorado "Ass Full of" Guy speaks, it's about his resume and how he knows so much more than others or is tougher etc.. What are you insecure about? Or is just you're so old and creaky and bitter, you need to be propped up to feel better about yourself? And to do that at your age...

And Mr. Moderator, first my apologies for the direction of this thread. I am not without blame. I do admit many of my quips crossed the line, but that was all precipitated by Colorado "Always Frontin" and all his bipolar posts. Please check post #18-22 of this thread and then see how Colorado guy begins to overreact and go ape shit and losing it from post #23 and every other subsequent post.

However, I will personally refrain from exacerbating the situation moving forward, for the sake of the forum community, as long as "Ass Full" above does the same.

Thank you kindly.

And btw, I'm definitely feeling your Akuma/E-Honda avatar. I was a huge SF fan growing up. It was like a religion where I grew up in San Diego. I remember all the gangs/thugs from the neighborhood all the way to the nerds/dorks all playing together at my local 7-Eleven. There were so many fights lol. I don't even want to think how much money in quarters I spent total on SF back in the day.

Colorado, it's called trolling, man...and I'm sure you're old enough to not fall for it. It's just the internet and some just get their jollies picturing some other guy on the other end of the keyboard turning red and having a vein bulging in their forehead while they and toggle back over to round and brown dot com to finish rubbing one out.

It's not real life, don't take is so personally. Trust me, I'm not only the president, but not too long ago I was a member.

In addition, on behalf of the moderators, I will say that it is NOT their job to "clean up the forum" by taking sides. They are there to moderate and keep the peace. If a mod were to get on one member, they'd be agreeing with that other member which isn't really moderating, they then become that one person's advocate. In this case, actually...Yumcha asked to quit and get back on topic and then you followed that with your anti Bundy post. If anything, he'd likely reprimand you.

I got a 300m convex broadway mirror. It's kinda lame how it mounts to the mirror with the little clips. Not sure it's worth it just to see out my right side (left side blocked by my head!).

Back to the K&N filter. Does it come pre-oiled or do you do that before the first installation?

thats how they mount, spring loaded. some people dont like the convex mirror because its awkward. I had it in previous cars and just got used to it. Now I find they help alot to see more of whats behind you.

If you mount it in the center of the oem mirror (each bottom spring on each side of the oem "dip" for the auto dimming controls) and adjust your side mirrors properly to help with blind spots, then the driver side where you say your head is blocking should not matter too much.

I measured again and the 360mm size mirror would fit perfectly in the RDX without hitting the visors at all. 360mm is around 14.1" and 300mm is 11.8" There's actually a lot of room left even with the 360mm model.

I'm looking at your pics of your 300mm and it looks like a really good fit/size in relation to the stock mirror. I'm just wondering if 360mm would look somewhat ridiculous since it's about 2" wider. I'm not sure.

^^ And to the poster above, yes, the K&N does come pre-oiled from the factory and according to K&N, it's good for 50k miles before it needs to be cleaned and oiled again.

I remember reading a really good technical article in European Car or Import Car Magazine (I forget which) about filters like these and the basic idea is that when the filter is brand new, the air flows great for a car's performance purposes, but does not filter/catch contaminants as well as when the filter has been used for some time.

Inversely, it's okay if the filter is slightly dirty, cuz although your car's performance may not be as good as if the filter was new, it does a better overall job filtering. Or something like that that if I remember the gist of the article correctly.

I guess with K&N, after 50k miles, the filter is so dirty it def needs to be cleaned and oiled again. However, I too use the recharge kit about every 15-20k miles on my cars.

yea i was undecided on the 360mm..... 1 inch extra on each side from a 300mm might not be bad but i dunno

I just ordered and went with the 300mm. 360mm just looked too big and kind of ridiculous (link below). I was also concerned that it would be heavier/clumsier and might be prone to falling off. And I couldn't find a 360mm in the blue tint model, so 300mm it is. I think it's the perfect balance in overall size/mirror real estate for the RDX. Thanks for the pic for reference.

Has anyone that has installed the K&N filter on the 2013 RDX in turn got a check engine light?

Nah, it's just a filter. My entire family has used K&N's on probably 10+ cars throughout the years and never had any issues. It's just a filter, not a full intake.

The OEM intake and filter is fine, putting in a K&N filter won't do anything, except make a tiny bit more noise initially, and possibly contaminate a MAF sensor. I highly doubt you got better throttle response. They can be cleaned and reused, that is their only advantage, a dry filter will do much better at keeping contaminants out. Acura's intake is very good, the car does not lack for air, a less restictive filter will do absolutely nothing for this car.
