Brake squeal in reverse only

Brake squeal in reverse only
First my apologies if this is already covered in another thread. I did a search but did not find the search function helpful.
Vehicle is a 2018 RDX with about 55K miles I have previously had the TSB performed related to brake squeal. This problem is not that.
Symptom: When reversing out of my driveway; slight incline. It is typical that I apply light brake pressure. As of late I'm am hearing notable brake squeal. At this point I am unclear on which wheel(s) the sound is coming from.
I do expect that it may be getting time for a brake job but I was looking for a little more insight on this specific vehicle and model if anyone has it. I have owned may vehicles and this exact symptom is new to me. I typically hear brake squeal going forward when I apply brakes due to the wear indicators.
Any input would be appreciated;

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago. It turned out I had metal on metal going on in some of my brakes (dealership I had bought the car from lied and said they were all new). I also had some warped rotors too. If I had to guess it's most likely gonna be either the pads being worn out and needing to be changed, and/or the rotor(s) needing to be replaced. Best thing that can be done is to have a reliable mechanic take them all apart and let you know what needs to be done. I was a bit unlucky and needed all new pads, rotors, and I think a caliper or two. Thankfully my mechanic is a family friend and charged me less than $1k.

If you think it's about time for a brake job, I'd indeed assume it's just the indicator you're hearing. On my TL, I always start to hear the indicator in reverse backing out of the driveway before I hear it in drive later on.

Almost certainly time for brakes, for me I had this same problem on a different car, it got worse over time but it was uneven brake wear and the wear indicator was digging into the rotor. I let it go for a bit and it was eventually unbearably noisy, I replaced the pads and rotors and it resolved the issue.b
