you can buy aftermarket such as:
Premium Blind Spot Detection System #BSDS-003016p - GOSHERS

personally I think a back up camera is very useful and will soon be mandatory.

A couple of years ago I installed the goshers deluxe sensors in my MDX and I can tell you that they are terrible!
They are constantly giving false warnings even at the lowest sensitivity settings. For me it was a waste of money.

Aftermarket really doesn't work well. Retrofitting OEM is prohibitively expensive.

Try readjusting your mirrors and you won't need the blind spot system.

To properly adjust your driver's side mirror, rest your head against the window and adjust the mirror so you can just barely see the side of your car. For the passenger side, lean your head over the center console and adjust the mirror the same way - bingo, no more blind spots.

I find it amusing when people adjust their side view mirrors to see the side of their vehicles. I adjust mine to the point where I can slightly see my door handles. Many european cars come with aspherical wide view mirrors (never had them, but from pics they look amazing).

If you have some money laying around you could buy a Euro Accord passenger mirror and a UK passenger mirror.

Good idea, but I have about 10 things I would like to do first like tranny flush, diffs and shawd fluid, brake fluid, coolant...etc. Want to bring the new MDX up to my standards.
