Audio System Quality

I have a 2017 RDX Advance. It seems to have suddenly lost most of the bass and midrange when using the radio. My dealer replaced the radio unit twice, which has not corrected the problem. I have the subwoofer and bass settings on maximum; they dont seem to change the sound a lot. The dealer claims the sound quality is "normal", but it seems much worse than it was originally. My other cars sound perfectly fine, so it isnt a hearing issue! Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

There is a way to get the system into a diagnostic mode and test each individual speaker. You can search around these forums to see what sequence of things you have to do to enter this mode.

This may be a good starting point: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rdx-...ce-pkg-934757/

you need to use a sound meter to test it, which is the same as testing home theater system speakers at home (play the testing audio CD to check each channel (speaker) individually. I did this for my home theater, but not for my 2017 RDX advance. I only did minor adjustment and am very happy with it so far. BTW, I usually set the volume a little bit below the maximum if I want it loud!

I have been unable to find a link that explains that. If anyone has a link, it’d be much appreciated.

I was looking for the link to some hidden menu described above that lets you play each speaker individually. And it’s not a hearing issue. My other cars sound just fine, thank you!
