Anyone installed a s-vcm on warm engine?

i just got mine and am too excited to wait till it’s cold
ahaha

Tried it on mine, and it ended with a code on the dash. I would in your case, disconnect both battery cables, install the part and then wait until the next morning and hook up the battery cables again.
I don't know why, but the manufacturers of my part stated in the instructions not to have the key fob anywhere near the car when first connecting the gadget to the engine.
Hope that helps

Thanks all for the reply
i assumed if I unplugged negative before I did anything that would be completely fine and luckily my hypothesis was corrsct
it seems you can install a vcm device on any temp engine as long as you disconnect negative first
my engine was hot and when I restarted it, there was 0 codes and worked great
