We've had our RDX for less than a month now. Today we received by mail a package detailing Acura Roadside Assistance with two cards. What sort of service is this? Is it paid by separate subscription? If yes, how much does it cost?
I already have road side assistance from my insurance provider. Is this the same service? I don't want to pay double for the equivalent service anyway. If someone has used this service, kindly enlighten me please. Thanks.

 

A basic review of the owner's manual would show you that roadside assistance is automatically included at no additional charge for 4 years.

It covers basically the same thing as most roadside assistance programs except that it is tied to that particular car.

 

It's included in the warranty basically. Tows your car to Acura for free. Had to use mine once already when my timing belt tore to shreds within the first few months if ownership

 

There is an app for iphone that sends a tow to u also
And if ur 100 miles away on a roadtrip they will cover hotel rental etc up to $300 a day for trip interruption.

Thanks all for the replies. I wish they had given a concise owner's manual. This is like studying an entire volume of dictionary. So basically I can cancel the roadside assistance part of my insurance for the next 4 years and save any money if at all. Cheers.
