Ya, I'm crossing my fingers, but not getting my hopes up too much for that awesome combo. I'm not going to jump to a new RDX unless more options with the ebony interior materialize.
There are some photos in this thread below, but you can't get a great sense of the two colors side by side. The ebony interior looks awesome.
We should all try to call Acura customer relation number and tell them what we wish in the future RDX. I called them and told them I want for the U.S. Models to at least have some features available in Canadian models such as power folding mirror and black interior for all exterior colors. I am not sure they read these forum messages. But a direct communication sure don't hurt.
the general manager told me at that time last month that white on black will be available but would have to wait until September or closer to the end of the year...we'll see
I am definitely thankful for that option in Canada, and have of course taken advantage of it. I'll try to get some good pics once the vehicle is in my possession!

I'm not sure if I'll hold my breath on that, but I hope it's true. With an active 5-year-old and another baby on the way, we'll need a darker interior. We have the brown saddle leather in our MDX and it gets dirty fast. It's way darker than the light parchment.
I'm not sure I understand why no white/black option in the States

I dont understand why the big push on Parchment. I mean, it looks OK, but has an "old persons" feel to me. Maybe because it reminds me of my mom's Accord and my dad's Benz, both with similar color interiors. No offense to anyone, including my parents .

i'm in the same boat. i have a 18 month old and trying for another in the near future and just dislike the dodoo interior color. although i clean the cars once a week but will black interior its just easier and nicer looking. our tsx has black interior and just love it and the dealership said it was hard finding one but we did..
I have one of these "unicorns", albeit in MDX form. Glad they FINALLY realized that people don't really like parchment (especially after wearing jeans all the time!) and the grey looks like plastic.

Haha, I totally get that. It does have an "old person" feel. Nothing against that.. but i'm too young for that, haha.
Well, being an "old guy", I like the Parchment interior in my '15 RDX. But to be honest, I've always liked the lighter color interior even dating back to our earlier Acuras and even 80's GM cars we had. this was largely due to the interior staying cooler , especially when the sun hit the seats. Nothing like a black interior with shorts on during a hot summer day. Ouch! And with kids, I never found the parchment interiors that much harder to keep clean than darker colors (except on the floors, and that's now addressed with darker carpets than years ago). Actually, I really like the interior in my wife's '12 TL - it's Bellanova White Pearl exterior, and has "taupe" interior - which is essentially a light gray (much lighter than the greystone that the RDX has) that has been surprisingly easy to keep clean.

grey i'd take over the the beige looking color....i've had beige on my benz and bmw before and wasn't a fan but with kids it just looks better with black...
i might have to look at the slate grey now

nice to hear as I am getting same color. No way could I have a black interior
I've always liked the lighter colors, especially in this part of Texas. Black interiors just seem like I'm sitting in a cave. But to each his own. I know a lot of people want the white on black. I'm not one of them, but I think Acura would sell every one they made if they would just offer it in the states.
I actually prefer the parchment look (I loved my TSX interior below), but I know the first time my son walks across the parchment leather in his baseball cleats, I'll cringe. We have Saddle leather in our MDX and it's not as bad as parchment, but of the options available in the 2016 RDX, black is best for people with kids.
Hard to imagine a buyer can't special order a color that is already being produced. It ain't rocket surgery!
Volvo lets us do that from Sweden. How tough could it be from Ohio?
Here's another cream leather interior person, however. FOUR Volvo C70s, all with Calcite Cream leather. Parchment on the RDX, Volvo's version of parchment(Sandstone?) in the XC60. Gotta go back to our '07 XC70 to find a gray interior(also the '04 V70). Last black interior was the '91 Miata!
bringing back a old thread but i ended up with a 2016 toyota highlander in white with black interior BUT i was at the la autoshow the other night and they had a white 2017 rdx with black interior. So is acura now going to had black interior as an option? I didn't have a chance to ask a rep that was working there

When we bought our Silver w/greystone interior RDX advanced two months ago, the dealer had a white w/black interior AWD advanced on the showroom floor and two others in stock. Salesperson said it is a popular combo for the '17MY.
Just picked up my white on black Elite yesterday! It's an odd situation when Canada gets more options on something than the US.
It may be because believe it or not, Canada is a real hot market for luxury vehicles, esp. SUVs. At least according to Car and Driver. On a per capita basis its more lucrative per vehicle for car makers than the US, so maybe they pamper us a little..... but it's weird because up here, I would say we generally as a people have less money to spend on luxury items due to the ridiculous taxes we pay as well as exorbitant utility bills most notably electricity. Plus everything is more expensive, and for many further away.......so I don't quite understand how offering us better options is a business move that makes much sense.
I dont understand why they dont offer white on black all the time down there....while looking at other vehicles prior to buying the RDX, black interiors was practically all I saw regardless of exterior.

The ebony interior with the white exterior was one of the "changes" Acura finally brought in the U.S. in the 2017 version.
i just never understand why they paired tan with white in the past?? I've had 4 white cars and out of the 4 two of them had black interiors( acura tsx and toyota highlander) but my bmw and mercedes had tan..
I'm glad they finally wised up and offered black interiors with white
