2014 RDX opens windows by itself
This is the second time my RDX has done this, I park it and lock it. And later go out and it's opened all the windows and the sunroof half way. (the windows are closed when I leave it, raining today) Anyone else ever experience this?

This has happened to me a few times, usually when my car is in the garage. I normally keep my key fob in a front pocket. I'm fairly certain that something like my wallet or a key gets into the "right" position and holds down the unlock button long enough to open the windows and sunroof. I just ordered a rubber fob cover, hoping that it provides enough extra space to prevent the button being held down.
If that doesn't work, then I may have to put a keychain on a belt loop...

Lost in translation
What a timely thread. My RDX windows vented while washing the car in my driveway today. Lucky for me, I noticed it in time to avert disaster. Imagine that happening with your car going thru the automated car wash!

lol. I still remember the time I worked on something like the 4th story of a building and looked out and saw what appeared to be an open sunroof and windows on my brand spankin' new TL (I had only owned it for a couple of weeks, I think). It had just rained. I almost jumped out the window to end it all. I decided to go down and check it out thinking I'd find an aquarium in the car. I found a dry car. Apparently I had accidentally rolled the windows down (how, I don't know) after the rain had stopped. My guess is I accidentally held the door unlock button down a bit too long somewhere or I sat down and it got depressed too long... over 10 years later, she's still with me.

I just got the fob cover today. Time will tell if it helps. A few days ago (before the cover arrived) the windows opened while the car was in the driveway, and it was snowing. Fortunately I found this out fairly soon when I went to move the car but still had to wipe out a little snow off the seats.

This is on page 117 of the online manual: http://owners.acura.com/vehicles/inf...14/RDX/manuals
And it doesn't appear to be customizable (p.90). It's not on the list of customizable features.

Summer is Coming
This is really odd since you would have had to accidentally depress the button on the fob once, then a second time within 10 seconds and hold it down, all while within range of the car. Seems like that would be pretty hard to do.

My previous vehicle had a factory remote start. To activate, you pressed the lock button 3 times... but it was picky, you couldn't press the buttons too fast or too slow. Anyway, it accidentally started on me a few times for the same reasons listed above, i.e. keys in pocket. I also figured this was 'hard to do' but hey it happens.

OK, the results are in: It happened again yesterday, first time (in about a month) since having the fob cover. At least the RDX was in the garage. I think that the cover "may" cut down on the frequency of occurrences but it isn't a cure all.
