2013 RDX seats compared to TSX

Recently I had the opportunity to drive the TSX for an extended trial. I am glad that I did because after an hour or so, I was experiencing real discomfort in the seat. Felt like my spine was being compressed backward. Also noticed that the TSX had a very 'stiff' ride where I felt every nook and cranny in the road. Needless to say, I thought about other models. Getting into the RDX, I immediately enjoyed the more upright position and it felt more roomy.

To get to the point..........

Are the seats between the two the same from the perspective of design? Hopefully they are different (such as those in the MDX or TL)

Thanks!

Funny. I thought the TSX seats are more comfortable while stationary. The RDX seats were a bit on the stiff side, but the suspension is much more forgiving than the TSX. Weird how the TSX has such a "sporty" suspension for such a big sedan.

None of the Acura line up compares to the MDX seats! They extremely comfortable and supportive and paired with the soft suspension of the MDX, but the handling capability of the SH-AWD. No wonder the MDX is their best seller and has been keeping the company afloat after their redesign stunt with the beak, which slashed their sedan sales by 2/3 across the line. Thats getting off topic though!

I feel like they are different, but then again, it has been a while since i've test driven the TSX. I ride in the RDX whenever my girlfriend drives and i'm glad they ended up choosing the RDX over the TSX. If you are in the market for a new car and are deciding between the two while planning to keep the vehicle long term, go with the RDX. With their upgrade to the V6, loads of new tech, and general appeal as a sport utility/crossover/mid-size SUV, I believe it'll hold its value extremely well compared to the TSX. Again, thats up for debate.

I have had back surgery but in my 5-10 minute test drive of the new RDX, I really didn't notice much discomfort, but then, like I said, it was only a 5-10 minute test drive. I've driven the TSX as a loaner for about an hour at at a time a few times and never really felt any discomfort that I recall. The interior of the RDX reminds me of the TSX interior, so there may be similarities, who knows.

Having owned a 2010 TSX in my household, the seats are similar to me, the only thing I really notice is the RDX has a rougher grain leather, which is all up to personal preference. I think its more durable. As far as comfort, they are similar, no discernible differences.

As madrye28 stated, I too had a 2009 TSX and don't see any noticeable difference in seat comfort. They do look different in material and prefered the material in the TSX and especially those of my TL but as far as comfort, they are all the same to me.

Mind you I am quite thin and no back problems....

When I first got my TSX, I was getting some right leg pain on long trips. It finally dawned on me it was from my wallet being too thick with junk and moving my hips out of alignment and causing pain/strain down my leg. I now have a thinner wallet and I wear shoes I can take off if I drive more than 2 hours to give me another 1-2 inches of leg room. No problems after that on long trips.

Never had leg or back problems in any driving distance in the RDX with the upright seating positions. Much more comfortable like an office chair (still take my shoes off on +2hr trips).

With the new smart phones and apps, I almost don't need to carry a wallet. I have my photos, movies, music, on-line banking, family budget, GPS, shopping list, games, photo of receipts, etc..., on my Smartphone. I rather lose my wallet with two credit cards and driver license than my smart phone.

I would not know how to act with more than $20 cash in my pocket?
