2013 RDX difference from 2016
I had a question if anyone knew if the new 2016 tail lights would fit the 2013 I am highly interested in switching mine to the new L.E.D and maybe interested in doing the headlights also. Looking at the diagrams and seeing it side by side it seems to fit, but would it be hard to make them work?

Car Crazy for Sure!
The shape seems to be the same...just different insides. But, my best guess....the cost would be greater than it's worth to do. Esp. the headlights!! Price them first at the Parts Dept. Plus there will be other issues...electrical connections, fusing...etc.....I'm a well trained mech. from days of old....and I wouldn't do this. Cost to start with...even IF it fit...etc.

I am interested in those LED tails too. I will probably wait for someone to actually do the swap to see what the process is. Those headlights are nice, but most def. pricey. I will stick to my HIDs.
FWIW, I have swapped OEM non LED to OEM LED taillights on other car brands without an issue. Definitely interested in this.

Assuming every mount and wiring fits, I think it may require some re-programming of the SAM unit as well.

Burning Brakes
My OEM online supplier (Acura Parts | OEM Acura Parts | Factory Acura Parts) shows the 2016 RDX outside tails at about $150 each (list $205-ish) and the inner tails at about $100 each (list $150-ish). This compares to the 2015 RDX that have prices about $40-50 cheaper per item. Sorry for the estimated prices - I closed my other screen and didn't wanna look them back up. :-) #lazy

^ Thanks! So parts would run approx. $511 for those LED tails. Now, just have to find out how different the wiring and mounting points are, if there is any difference at all...

Three Wheelin'
Acura usually doesn't change the taillight mount points for the MMC as TL owners frequently swap out their taillights with the respective MMC upgrade (notably the white 02+ tails and the 06+ / 07+ Type-S tails).
That being said, I cannot say for sure if there are any wiring upgrades for LED...

^ Appreciate the info. On my old Nissan, a model refresh came out with LED tails and everything was the same (Wiring, mounting points, etc.) so it was a simple plug and play. I may put some money aside and see if I can do the swap in the next few months.
