Someone spotted an NSX in the wild and posted to instagram... the poster said that this was in Indonesia at a shopping center, Senayan City

 

Wouldn't it be a Honda NSX if it was outside North America?

 

Well, it does have an Acura logo on it. However, with Acura's attempt to clean up its brand image, I would hope that it'll no longer stick Honda badges on its products... but who knows what their plans are... hopefully more global expansion in order to remain competitive/relevant. In any event... probably just there for testing.

They are branding it as an Acura in China and North America, Honda everywhere else. Could be somebody on a long road trip haha.

 

Usually, test cars are camo'ed up in some way...this is interesting...

Otherwise, this is a kit car?

 

The new NSX will be made in the US, Ohio i believe. So i guess they will all be Acura's.

Definitely an 06-08 Civic, dash and shifter area are that gen.

At this point I don't see the need for the camouflage. Over the past 500 years we've already seen concept to concept to prototype to production... not much to hide anymore. lol

The production run for this vehicle has already ended. Honda produced one working example, which they are keeping for themselves, and that's it.

I hear there's another one coming in 2156 though.

 

That last video looks a little slow (i.e. way over 7 min). The good news is that the Nürburgring bosses have banned high speed lap records, for now, and have imposed speed limits on several sections of the ring. So the NSX aficionados can claim whatever lap times they want!

Interesting that they were putting regular gas in it - I guess that ends the "is premium fuel required" debate for the new NSX before it ever gets started

Looked planted on the track and seems Honda/Acura was still tuning things during the filming of this video. Also a lot of cars have issues during development. I would rather a prototype catch fire and they catch the issue in development, than not finding it and it being an issue after release.
